Dr. Nima Ahmadi was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, before moving to Wilmington, North Carolina, in 1994. He earned a dual degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, graduating with both a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Chemistry in 2000. Recognized as the valedictorian of his graduating class, Dr. Ahmadi continued his education at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honors in 2004.

Before co-founding Capital Dental Care in 2007, Dr. Ahmadi gained extensive experience practicing in multidisciplinary dental offices throughout North Carolina. Working in a variety of clinical settings allowed him to develop a comprehensive approach to patient care while refining his skills across many areas of dentistry.

His passion for science, art, and healthcare has led him to excel in restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and many other aspects of comprehensive dental care. He enjoys helping patients of all ages achieve healthier, more confident smiles through personalized treatment plans and attention to detail.

Dr. Ahmadi is especially dedicated to creating a comfortable and stress-free dental experience. Through his gentle approach and focus on patient comfort, he has helped thousands of patients—including those with previous dental anxiety—develop positive experiences and renewed confidence in visiting the dentist.
